Introduction
ScrapAntics is a social enterprise with four core impacts of community, art, recycling and education. We create playful and artistic opportunities for members of the community who have least access to creative experiences.

We are seeking volunteers in a range of different roles (see details below) to support the the public and co-workers during a variety of ScrapAntics sessions.

Jobs including;
​

Supporting community members and engaging in conversation

Taking part in creative arts or craft activities with members of the community

Helping to prepare refreshments

Assisting with translation for the international community

Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen and community space
-
Tidying, sorting and displaying donated items in the ScrapStore
-
Book keeping

We are looking for people who can commit to regular weekly 3 - 4 hour time slots, but also those who are able to support ScrapAntics at various events we have throughout the year.
​

We are also passionate about enabling and supporting long term volunteers to create projects and activities which they would like to organise. If this is something you are interested in we can offer you the opportunity to transform ideas for community projects and events into reality.
We believe that volunteers contribute so much to our organisation and we are committed to supporting them to gain experience and additional skills. We can help to signpost volunteers to specialist guidance around developing a CV or other employment advice.

Please note that ScrapAntics are committed to providing a safe environment for vulnerable members of the community. Volunteers will be required to give the necessary personal information in order that a Disclosure Scotland check can be completed.

Community is at the heart of what we do and volunteers are integral to our aim of making transformational change and a lasting positive difference for the people of Dundee.
This role offers you the opportunity to engage with and support the public in a safe and welcoming space, meet new people, be part of a vibrant team and learn more about creative recycling.

- ScrapAntics Community Space, Level 2, Wellgate Shopping Centre
​
- ScrapStore, Meadow Mill, W Henderson's Wynd, Dundee DD1 5BY
​
- Occasionally other spaces across Dundee for events
​

Roles
​
Working as part of a team of enthusiastic and committed staff members and volunteers, you will be an important part of an expanding and well-loved creative recycling community organisation.
​
We are looking for volunteer support in a number of areas;
​
-
ScrapStore - sorting and displaying resources in Dundee’s only ScrapStore
-
ScrapChat - supporting board game/creative session for the international community
-
ScrapThursday - engaging with the community at our weekly drop in sessions
-
Events - assisting at large family activity days with play, food and art
-
Family Club - activities bringing together New Scots (refugees) with Scots families to support integration
-
Book keeper
​
There is also the opportunity to take the lead in a craft activity if this is something you are interested in! Or if you have another passion or interest you would like to share we are always keen to hear.
​
(Volunteers are always supported by staff and do not have key handling or cashing up responsibilities.)
​
