About us

ScrapAntics is a diverse team of over 20 artists, creatives, volunteers, teachers, musicians, community workers, play workers and youth workers - all guided by our passion for social justice.
We are a welcoming, friendly and fun group of people - so if you see us at an event or activity, please come and say hi… We love to chat and to hear your ideas!

A social justice enterprise…
ScrapAntics is a community interest company founded by Sandy Greene and Siobhan Morison in 2016. Since then we have grown to become a team of currently 22 staff and volunteers. We have now diverted over 100 tonnes of waste from landfill and incinerator back into the community as resources for play and creative projects!
Our core values are community, art, recycling and education. Sustainability and equality are at the heart of everything we do and all our profits are invested back into the community.
We are here for everyone, but prioritise working with local people who face challenges through disadvantage. Our aim is to bring the joy and positive impact of imagination, creativity and play to the whole community, and to always put people and planet before profit.

Working with the community
ScrapAntics invite all members of the community to be involved, whether by attending our sessions, being part of our Community Steering Group or volunteering with us.
The work we do would not be possible without our national funders and partners and the brilliant local organisations we have worked with, which include:
Scottish Government, European Union, Dundee City Council, Play Scotland, Inspiring Scotland, National Lottery, Northwood Trust, Foundation Scotland, Corra Foundation, Museums Galleries Scotland, Scottish refugee council, Refugee week , V&A, DIWC, Articulate, DCA, University of Dundee, Abertay University, Queen Margaret University, D&A College, Faith in Community, Barnados, Dundee Libraries, NatureScot, PAMIS and more…
