Artworkers for Palestine in Dundee collaborate on events with ScrapAntics
Over the weekend 1-2nd November, the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, at Scrap Antics Wellgate community space we will have a programme of events in solidarity with Palestine including events for kids and families.
Artworkers for Palestine Dundee are happy to again this year present a screening as part of Film Lab Palestine’s 'Palestine Cinema Days Around the World' project.
In Dundee we’ll host one of over 500 world-wide screenings to support the forcibly cancelled Palestine Cinema Days Festival: an act of amplification for censored Palestinian voices.
Let us know you’re coming by booking tickets with optional donation to the Sameer Project, and view full event details on Eventbrite:
-
1st Nov 2-4pm - Family Club Kite Making Session
-
2nd Nov 1-3pm Films for Kids about Palestine (age 5-12): short films chosen specifically for children
-
2nd Nov 2.30-5.30pm Palestine Cinema Days Screening (age 12+): When I Saw You (2012) by Annemarie Jacir
In the overlap between the screenings on 2 Nov, 2.30-3pm, there will be a chance to chat and share some snacks. We will also have resources, badges and a display of the kites and our embroidery project. Over the weekend we will be fundraising for the Sameer Project (not under the PCD banner). Donations can be made when booking or bring cash to the events!
