What a beautiful time ScrapAntics our new Scot community members and Family Club had on our day trip to Loch Lomond! ☀️🏞 We had a wonderful day with the families exploring the Sunny Scottish countryside taking in the sights, nature, and the great outdoors. 🌳❤️🌿 Well done everyone on tackling those hills and the beaten track. Which eventually lead us to the treat of making it to the beach! 🏖🤽‍♂️🤸🍔🥙🧃 Everyone really mucked in and helped for the day before we were all tuckered out in time for home. 🥰😴 ❤️ Big thank you to all the amazing community members who came along and made the trip so extra special. To highlight the amazing Botanics Sculpture project which was a city wide effort of our community and partnerships coming together to create something beautiful around suistaiblitly 🥳 ❤This small video just explores some of the hard work and creative process behind this massive project. What fun we all had at Fruit Bowls Community Garden with Play Scotland for the National Day of Play! 🏃‍🤸‍⛹️‍♂️ 'Playday' is the national day for play, celebrated each year across the UK on the first Wednesday in August. With the theme of this year being… All to play for – building play opportunities for all children. 🥰 It was great to see our play workers engage with the local community like always and hear the feedback from the main ‘participants’ the young people. ScrapAntics is a community interest company founded by Sandy Greene and Siobhan Morison in 2016. Since then we have grown to become a team of currently 22 staff and volunteers. We have now diverted over 100 tonnes of waste from landfill and incinerator back into the community as resources for play and creative projects! Our core values are community, art, recycling and education. Sustainability and equality are at the heart of everything we do and all our profits are invested back into the community. We are here for everyone, but prioritise working with local people who face challenges through disadvantage.
